39岁的Lalitha,在2017年4月时，在超市里帮忙切猪，生活本来过的平凡,但在工作时不小心割伤自己的手指，而导致无法再继续从事这份工作。但是，她仍然从未有放弃的念头，她用她所有的储蓄，在她家附近开了一个椰浆饭的档口，就是要赚取生活费来偿还家里的房租，女儿的学费，和家里的三餐。
她的家庭背景十分可怜。10年前老公不幸患上癌症,在孩子还幼小的时候早就离开了他们两母女。多年前，因为Lalitha失业的关系，欠下的债务还未缴清,而且Lalitha每个月椰浆饭的生意也很差。不足1千令吉，但是她还是无论如何都坚持抵过压力,负责任的把女儿抚养长大。

协助：

在2017年7月至12月里，耕心慈善已经帮助Lalitha 缴付每月租金费RM300,帮助她减轻重要开支。在2018年1月到6月里，我们决定帮她购买所有椰浆饭档口需要用到的食物材料和用具，每月给与300令吉的津贴在她的生意上，还有另外的每月50令吉帮助她的小女儿学费。

Situation:

Lalitha, 39 years old, she worked as a supermarket staff in April 2017. Unfortunately, she had hurt her finger during work and lead to unemployment. However, she never gives up and she spent all her savings to open a “nasi lemak” business stall nearby her house. She aimed to earn more money to pay her house debt, her children school fees and their foods.

She comes from a pitiful family background as well, her husband had been diagnosed with cancer 10 years ago and passed away. When she was unemployed few years ago, she owed a lot of people money for her to feed her children. Currently, her nasi lemak business is terrible and her monthly profit is not more than Rm1000. However, she showed her responsibility as a mother and she always put her daughter as priority to take care of her education and her foods.

How We Helped:

Great Heart Charity had helped Lalitha on her rental fee for Rm300 subsidies monthly for 6 months in order to help her reduce her heaviest expense from july 2017 to December 2017. In January 2018 to June 2018, we would be helping her Rm300 subsidies monthly on all the food ingredients and apparatus of her nasi lemak stall. We also support Rm50 monthly for her to pay her daughter’s school fee.

Dayanidhi是一名11岁的小孩，被诊断患有脑性麻痹, 说话不清楚，不能走路, 上厕所冲凉，最可悲的是他不能吃硬体的食物。他的体质只能喝Pediasure品牌的牛奶，而不是其他的牛奶品牌，因那会导致呕吐和腹泻。她需要为她的孩子购买费用每罐为Rm150的Pediasure 牛奶，每个月5至6罐, 还有 Tena 尿片8至10包，每包30块。这让她的妈妈,Kalaivahni 感觉很负担。

协助：

耕心慈善知道Kalaivahni 会制作新年饼干后，非常用心地已经帮助 Kalaivahni 去推广饼干，多亏了Fei Lan 和 Kam Yew 义工的帮忙下，我们已经成功地为Kalaivahni销售了超过RM6000的总收入。 Kalaivahni深深地感谢我们，她告诉我们，她将用这笔积蓄为她的儿子购买更多的Pediasure牛奶和尿片。 其余的会存下来，因为她在计划着以后要把孩子送去印度医院，用印度的传统治疗方法就医。

Situation:

Dayanidhi is a 11 years old kid who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and is only taken care by her mother, Kalaivahni and her neighbors. He is unable to walk, speak or even go to the bathroom. Besides, Dayanidhi can only consumed Pediasure brand milk but not the other milk brand without throwing up and diarrhea. She needed to buy 5 to 6 Pediasure milk that costs Rm150 each for her kid and 8-10 Tena pampers that cost Rm30 each.

How We Helped:

Great Heart Charity has helped Kalaivahni to sell the New Year biscuits using all our connection, and with the help of the volunteer Fei Lan and Kam Yew, we have managed to secure the sales of more than Rm6000 for Kalaivahni. Kalaivahni deeply appreciate us and she told us she will use the savings to buy more Pediasure milk and pampers for her son. She also will save the money to use for the medical treatment in India that she is going to send her son one day.

美风是一位三个孩子的妈妈，她的老公曾在铁厂担任散工帮忙烧焊，三个孩子仍然读着书。然而，当他变老后，身体开始没什么力，脚因为之前的手术后遗症而偶尔会脚没力而发抖，而无法继续在那里工作。他5月开始失业，也因为经济不景气而面对困难找工。

进展：

幸运的是在这7月尾里，他刚刚找到一份也是烧焊的工作，比起上一份工这个他的身体状况还比较应付得来，而每天的工作薪水是50令吉，这让他的经济负担减轻了。

协助：

耕心慈善机构已帮助美风的家庭在从3月份一直到如今8月的租金。他老婆，美风心里感激，为了报答我们也每个星期帮助我们的耕心慈善社区中心里扫地三天。耕心慈善将会继续帮助他们一家人多三一年的租金费用,每个月300令吉来减低他们的负担，希望大家仍然可以支持耕心慈善帮助这个家庭，因为单靠她老公的薪水仍然无法照顾好三个仍然读着书的孩子。

Situation:

Ng May Fong is a mother with three kids in primary and high school in Klang. Her husband, Tan Hock Chuan used to be working as a welder in iron factory. However, when he gets older, he started to lose his stamina, his legs will be trembling occasionally due to surgical complication. He has been unemployed for few months due to his weak physical condition. They faced problem in affording their house rental and foods for children. Yet, he never give up on looking for jobs.

Improvement:

Fortunately in July 2017, he get a new job as a welder in another factory and his physical condition is able to complete the job duty and get Rm50 daily.

How We Helped:

Great Heart Charity has helped Tan’s family in their rental support from March 2017 to August 2017. As a token of appreciation, May Fong helped us to clean the Great Heart community centre every Tues, Thurs and Sat. Great Heart Charity will be helping them for 1 year on the rental support of Rm300 to reduce their burden cause they still need to raise up three children on their own.

Parames 是一个单亲妈妈，就算老公3年不回家看孩子不给家用，他始终没放弃过，这3年里她靠着帮人缝衣服和兼职住家清洁工人来维持家计。她的收入非常微薄，帮人缝一件衣服也才Rm5, 清洗屋子两个小时也才赚取到Rm20, 同时间她又必须一个人顾着患有唐氏综合症的孩子，Rm400 的屋租都让他们喘不过气来。

进展：

在耕心慈善帮助日常生活用品的第四个月，她找到一位租客来组他家的其中一个房间，而减低她租金的负担，同时他也找到了一个新的兼职，每天花一小时去洗衣店做清洗，每天赚取多一个Rm10, 好让孩子不会因为穷而饿肚子。

协助：

她母亲很欣慰我们耕心慈善帮助她RM150来买日常生活用品，为期6个月，但眼见6个月期限将到，她不竟担心起来，希望大家再给她一点时间赚取孩子以后的学费。

Parames is a single Indian mother who earned a tiny income by helping people sew clothes and home cleaning when her husband abandoned her 3 years ago with no financial support. She only earned Rm5 as profit in her home sewing business and Rm20 for home cleaning in 2 hours. During the afternoon, she has to come back from work and take care of her children with Down syndrome.

Improvement:

During the period of grocery support from Great Heart, she found a tenant to rent one of her room to reduce her monthly rental of Rm400, she even found a new part-time job to do the cleaning in a laundry shop and earn an extra Rm10 per day.

How We Helped:

Her mother is very pleased that we are willing to help her RM150 to buy daily necessities for a period of 6 months, but seeing as the six-month period is going to end on June 2017, she is really worried about it and she hoped more people can help her out through donating to Great Heart.

来自雪州沙登 Thilagawathy 是一位令人怜悯的的单亲妈妈，丈夫拋下男双胞胎孩子给她 (今年已20岁)，就消失的无影无踪，她唯有替人驾驶当德士司机，独撑整个家，生活还算过得去。
可是，好景不长，天意弄人，在3年前，小儿子Dinesh 骑摩托车发生车祸，导至左眼当场凸落，右眼也看不见(全盲)，全身伤痕累累，上下大小便都必须由他人照顾，Thilagawathy迫不得已，只好辞去德士工作，全神贯注的照顾小儿子起居饮食，全家的经济陷入困境.
耕心慈善协会的义工天使问她，最需要耕心慈善协会帮助她什么？她说，希望可以靠自己的劳力来养活一家大小，很想有自己的小小生意，如做小贩卖椰浆饭，一方面可以挣钱又可以照顾小儿子，如果自己有一个小生意，就不需要再劳烦亲戚和外来的资助，自己可以自力更生。她的愿望是小儿子能自行走动，眼睛重见光明。

协助：

听了Thilagawathy的自述，她是一位勇敢及坚强钓妈妈，让人很是钦佩，感动了每一位义工天使，首先，耕心慈善协会帮助Thilagawathy建立当小贩卖椰浆饭，一次性地资助600令吉买了一些器材如: 大雨伞丶锅丶江鱼仔丶米等。另外，耕心慈善也资助他小儿子每个月300令吉来购买奶粉，尿片和湿纸巾，为期半年。
希望各位善长仁翁能透过耕心慈善伸出愛的援手，为改善他们家境而尽一份绵力。

Situation:

Thilagawathy, 41, is a single mother who worked part-time as a taxi driver for a living. She alone needed to support her family including her son, Dinesh, who is an OKU due to a motor accident. This accident leaves Dinesh both eyes blinded, his legs and hand is injured and is unable to move freely. He needed to rely on wheelchair for mobility forever and in need of someone to take care of his daily routine. Thilagawathy has to bear this burden and the family fall into financial crisis as she needs to take care of Dinesh full time.

Thilagawathy told us that she really hopes she can secure her family financial condition by opening a nasi lemak business stall at roadside so that she is able to secure a good income within limited time while taking care of her son. She has a strong needs and hopes to be able to self-sustain with this business but sadly she doesn’t have enough capital.

How We Helped:

Throughout the assessment, Great Heart admired the positivity and courage from Thilagawathy and decided to help her with the capital (Rm600) to set up the nasi lemak business stall. We helped her to purchase all the necessary equipment such as canopy, rice cooker and groceries such as rice, anchovies, peanut, oil and others.
For Dinesh, we helped him to purchase the pampers, Ensure milk and wet tissue that he needed for 6 months with Rm300 subsidies monthly. Thilagawathy hopes more people can understand the pain and hardship that she went through and support Great Heart Charity for her sake.

Chelvan 是一个54岁的离婚老伯，老婆留下他独自一人跟四个孩子。他在巴生打工，无法照顾孩子，所以把两名孩子放在柔佛让他的姐姐帮忙照顾。他是一位保安人员，收入只有少少的Rm1200, 他一个人能力太小，只能租他亲戚的一间小房子里，天天踏着辆脚踏车去做工。他每个月仍然需要给大儿子在大学的生活费，还有小女儿在孤儿院里的费用，庞大的开销让他每个月都几乎入不敷出。

协助：

Chelvan 一家三口非常需要大众的帮忙，耕心慈善会帮助Chelvan 六个月的房租来暂时度过这个难关，希望大家用温暖的爱心来帮助他和孩子们。

Chelvan is a 54 years old divorced uncle with four children. He leaves both of his children for her sister in Johor to take care because he found a new job in Klang, Selangor and unable to take care of too many children. He worked as a security guard who earned only Rm1200 monthly, and he leads a frugal life by only renting a room from her relatives and cycle to work everyday. However, he is still struggled to make ends meet because he needed to give his son money for his living expense in college and money for the orphanage home to take care of his daughter.

How We Helped:

Chelvan really hoped that more people can understand his story and helped him with more kind will and generosity. Great Heart Charity Association will be helping Chelvan temporarily on his room rental for 6 months to reduce his burden.
