During October 2016, Abdul Rahman bin Ishak, aged 66 from Hulu Langat asked for help from Great Heart Charity to support him on the dialysis cost when he was diagnosed with kidney disease. After six months of help in Great Heart dialysis aid of Rm720 monthly from October 2016 until April 2017, our social worker is glad to hear him saying that even though his haemogoblin level is a bit low, but his physical condition is very stable and healthy.

She carried the financial burden of nearly Rm2000 monthly in the dialysis cost with only Rm1800 salary included overtime. Great Heart Charity Association is helping to reduce the burden of daughter Veliamah, RM720 is subsidies to dialysis centre on their behalf monthly for six months starting April 2017. We hope that more people in the society can help this amazing daughter to reduce her financial burden.
Mr. Kumararaja is a kidney disease patient who live together and supported by his wife in his shophouse. His wife worked in the semiconductor factory and worked 12 hours daily in order to support the household expense and his dialysis fee. Mr. Kumararaja really hoped that everyone to help him and his wife in just his dialysis cost as he felt bad and guilty for relying on his wife these years. Great heart charity will be helping Kumararaja in 6 months, Rm720 monthly dialysis subsidies, to reduce his burden and we hope more people can support us in helping him leading a better life.
Azirah is a single mother who suffered from lung inflammation, and she could only walk for a very limited distance because she has asthma and she needs to be taken care by her son most of the time. Government welfare association has helped her on her rental payment monthly and she relied on her only son to support her daily expense in foods and groceries. When we handed the wheelchair to Azirah’s, they are pleased and grateful that it will be more convenient for her son to push her to hospital using wheelchair from now on.
Last Friday, You and Me Educational Program was conducted in Taylor’s University Lakeside campus. The attendees were lively and bright students from Taylor’s University Pharmacy Students’ Society (TuPSS). Through this sharing session, the students are made aware of the role they can play in charity. Many great ideas were brought up in the sharing session to address the social issues most important to them.
IDM Management Sdn. Bhd. has sponsored 30 orphans from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Selangor and Padmasambhava Chidren Loving Association Klang Selangor for a trip to KidZania. Other than that, IDM Management Sdn. Bhd. had organized a meet & greet session with Barney mascot for the kids. Care takers couldn’t thank more on the efforts and time given by the volunteers, Great Heart Charity Association and IDM Management Sdn. Bhd. in organizing the event.
“Charity is about creating equality among the people. The world is unconcerned and selfish and that we have to take the lead to change the people and the world”. Taking the lead is indeed the result we wish to develop on the students after every You & Me Educational Program.
In collaboration with Persatuan Penganut Dewa Tian Hup Khong and Journey of Love, a blood donation campaign was recently conducted at housing area in Pandamaran Jaya by Great Heart Charity Association.
Ms. Tan,36 has been abandoned by her husband last year and she alone needed to raise up 3 children on her own. She was miserable last year but fortunately her brother and sister still be able to support her occasionally. Great Heart Charity will be helping Tan Siew Chen in their groceries support for the amount of Rm300 monthly, starting from June to November 2017 and we sincerely hoped that more people can support us in funding this families so her children would have a better meal.
